  • A good faith exam (GFE) is a medical quick visit required by Minnesota state law for treatments involving prescription-strength products or devices
  • At OYESPA, your health and safety always come first. Because we are a medical spa, Minnesota law requires that every new client — and once a year for returning clients — completes a Good Faith Exam with one of our licensed medical providers.
  • We review your medical history, check for any contraindications (such as health conditions or medications that may conflict with treatments), and answer your medical questions. 
  • We use telemedicine in our office for your convenience. We ensure you are a safe candidate for aesthetic procedures.  It is an important step that sets us apart as a responsible, compliant, and trustworthy med spa.

It is important to distinguish between a complimentary cosmetic consultation and a medical good faith exam, which may be separate appointments and costs.

  • Cosmetic consultation: OYESPA offers a “free consultation” to discuss services in general.
  • Medical good faith exam: The GFE is a more in-depth medical process for specific treatments that carries a separate fee. OYESPA, charges $49 for its GFE.
